2. Awesome. A pro-Hillary (?) video that doesn't suck. The very first one.
There are a couple of messages to take home that were not spelled out for us:

  1. If you sink low enough, you don't have far to fall.
  2. Even when outnumbered, a large adversary can be formidable, particularly when that adversary is willing to destroy you even in the face of defeat.

4. Sorry the Hillary videos don't have that nice beat
of the chant you folks like so much. That hypnotic chant that drowns out the truth of your candidate.

5. Well, if you mean the pro-Obama don't have a bunch of no-talent clowns trying to sing and dance,...
yes.

14. Yeah.
Because that's exactly what we need - the convergence of American Idol and the Presidency.

Perhaps it's already underway?

This explains a lot.

Or maybe it's Survivor, where you vote the competent (but perhaps not telegenic) competitors off the island first.

18. Great to see you again, mrbluto. Stalking me, are you?
You seem to have a difficult time addressing me in direct terms. Your smarmy, passive aggressive approach accomplishes nothing other than suggesting your too much of a fucking coward to take my points head on.

Grow some stones and talk to me as an adult. I'll be here.

22. How artful.
"Grow some stones", "{be} an adult"?

It's very telling what you think is an issue.

You want direct address?

Here you go:

I think you're f*cking deluded to go through the mental contortions necessary to parse that video as you did. It's the mark of a zealot.

As to your points (and I'll avoid any reference to the top of you head when I...oopps!) here goes:

1. If you sink low enough, you don't have far to fall.

Are you really parsing a goddamn cartoon that closely? Well how about "Only a person with gravity, as opposed to a light weight, can bring people together?" that's just as valid, or to look at your own point how about "If you stay close to firm ground then reality is less likely to smack you on the ass to an unrecoverable degree."

The interpretation I prefer though is "It only takes a few idiots pecking away to cause a disaster."

2. Even when outnumbered, a large adversary can be formidable, particularly when that adversary is willing to destroy you even in the face of defeat.

To hold to the cartoon (rather than just apply a set of pro-Obama-colored kaleidescope glasses to every damned thing one looks at) you might notice that the larger bird was trying to hold on and wasn't hostile. It's the little peck peck birds that brought about the disaster.

There - I've dignified your bullsh*t with a response.

btw - you accuse me of passive aggression? what Karl Rove playbook you pull that out of? Every Republican I know trys that one out at sometime or another. I don't think you actually know what the term means. I'm actually posting, I'm goddamn labeling my post as sarcastic. That's not exactly passive.

I am hostile - hostile to party splintering b*llshit that does no good, and, in fact, is likely to cost us the general election.

As for coward, well I'll admit that you might be an expert, but think you're batting zero when you apply it to me.

24. Oh and you flatter yourself if....
...you think I'd bother to stalk you.

Sorry to break it to you, but just aren't that interesting.

Nice try though on attempting to build a case that I'm violating the rules and getting me squelched by a moderator.

Obama would be proud - after all, that's how he won his first election; by invalidating the signatures on the candidacy papers of his Democratic opponent. Not that we know of another party that prefers to win elections on technicalities and snuffing the voice of their opponents. <koff>Republican-like tactic<koff>

But that path to electoral victory isn't so defining.

Obama ran against Alen Keys, the Republican from another state who stepped into the fray after the original candidate was outed for making "Seven-of-nine" from off of StarTrek:TNG table dance at a strip club.

Now that was a challenge that proves Obama has real courage.

As does his tough "present" votes he made earlier in his career.

Which brings us to now, when we should be pounding the Republicans into paste, when Obama decides to enter the race to succeed an administration with approval ratings not seen since Nixon, an election that now looks dicey with victory all but certain.

Yes. Obama - profile in courage, such a uniter!

And his supporters on this board are such examplars of the Democratic ideal, what with their "Let it sink" and "Ignore" modes of operation.

Yes with supporters like that we'll have an administration whose results rivals the accomplishments of any Republican administration.

That's what frightens me.

25. I take it you have taken the courageous stance.
...of ignoring me.

Letting it "sink" are we?

I don't blame you - it's so much work to actually engage in a dialog.

Much easier to pretend.

13. Thanks.
Because that's exactly the message I got from this video.

Yep. Just sit'n here with my kegger of Koolaide, sucking it down, watching a video.

Working both lobes of my Obama-devoted brain figuring out how to parse that video in a way that doesn't upset my delicate grasp on a euphoric delusion.

No time to consider the intended point. The "enemy" has won if I dignify their message as having any sort of basis in reality, admit it might be sincere, or take into account whether we might need their support in the future.

I wasn't so happy with the Democratic reputation as the "Reality-based" party. Reality is so old school. I never liked the Republican platform - but I have decided to adopt their anti-reality stance. Who cares that some people reasonably and sincerely disagree? I can just put them on ignore. Ignore is an Obama zealot's best friend around these parts. Who needs to hear what other people in my political party have to say? Hell I even ignore Obama supporters who tell me to cool it.

Who needs to win the general election?

Nope. Not me. I like being on a wannabe juggernaut that is gonna splinter the party.

I like it whether or not it virtually ensures we'll loose the general election.

Yes siree.

ps: for the irony impaired - :sarcasm:

20. Not addressing the point?
Me?

What about your own post(s)?

If the contest is to not address points then I will admit your mastery of that art.

BTW - if your post was not sarcastic ("If you mean...") then what was it?

Please get your hypocrisy detection unit upgraded to do self appraisals please. Otherwise the feedback reaches a Rove-ian magnitude where dialog is impossible.

15. Did you watch the video at all?
If you recall (and I know it was so long ago) in the video the little chirpy birds peck the other bird until it lets go.

What was the alternative? Hang on an keep getting pecked to death? Let go easy so as not to harm the critters pecking you?

Don't make me get the diagrams out to explain a cartoon to you.

'cause I will.

12. Cheep Tricks
She's on her way down. And is willing to blow up the party to do get what she wants. Obviously her baggage is too heavy to ever win against McCain. She's an overblown cartoon character who insists on jumping into the center of party, even though she hasn't earned it and will drag it down with her.

BTW nice Hillspin: "why does he shut out MI and FL?" When you know perfectly well BOTH candidates agreed to the rules and now ONE of them decides to go back on her word in order to get the undeserved sympathy vote.
