I just wanted to tell you how important it is to me that you post this program each week on DU. I had to give up HBO, as I didn't see the extra money as worth it, and the price went up too, which pissed me off. So, keep up the good work, and post as much of it as you can, or you are allowed.

In a just world, this would be on open, free television. But you hardly ever see the good stuff available to everyone. Sadly, most of the good things are buried.

I watched The American Drug War on Showtime the other day, and thought, what a great thing if we could all be able to see this show. But sadly, only a small portion will be allowed to see it, due to media restrictions, and manipulation. It has been a hidden truth, and they want to keep it hidden.

Likewise, Maher comes closer to the real American problems, also going against the grain of decades of media propaganda.

27. um... Terry Mcauliffe presided over two of the worst defeats in Dem history...

He was the DNC chair in what might have been the darkest days Dems ever had, a succession of defeats and chaos and spinless rolling over that brought us what we have today. The only thing Terry Mcauliffe, who I actually like, was ever good at was raising money, and Howard Dean has proven better at than too. And just exactly how would the party have died? By all of a sudden discovering how to win? The Clintons, who I love in many ways, ushered in a major era of losing for the Democratic party. Sure Bill could win for himself, but the Dems got rolled on everything else. About the only thing Howard Dean is eroding is all those gains Dems made in learning how to lose to Republicans.

Honestly, you might have to go back and unlearn everything you think you know when you start bragging about a DNC chair who lost everything in sight, and ripping on another DNC chair who has done nothing but win and build an unprecendented grassroots movement. That's one of the most bizarre trains of thought I have ever heard. It's flat goofy. Seriously, what part of losing in every mid-term election since '94 then two straight presidential elections, makes the Clintons and Terry Mcauliffe better than say, Howard Dean who built the strategy and movement in what was probably the greatest electoral victory in Democratic Party history?

I remember what a banner day it was around here when Dean became the chair. McAullife was, imo, a terrible DNC chair. The only victory he had under his belt was Clinton 1, and he and the likes of Carville took the Democratic party in the milquetoast, timid, corporate direction. I'm actually stunned that anyone here would find McAullife a friend to the democratic party.

Blowing CEOs for corporate donations. He won with Bill Clinton like Carville did; everything else was a failure. To eschew the base of the party for corporate dollars is a 1990s strategy and doesn't work now. Who will sit through a political TV ad with a remote control in hand?
The Clinton's have wrecked the Democratic Party with their Machiavellian triangulation policy.
Obama has tapped into the new dynamic and the Clintons are playing by the old rules.
If the Democrats didn't lose Congress in 94, Bill wouldn't have been impeached. That the Republicans maintained a congressional majority until 06 is the reason the DLC has to be marginalized.
Obama has far more individual donors, and these donors all now have a stake in the game; thus, they represent boots on the ground, something McAuliffe can't produce.
Howard Dean has provided the leadership for we the people to take our government back, at least to some degree, while the Clinton campaign represents the status quo.
The real battle is between the corporate elites and the working class.
Terry McAuliffe is a dinosaur. With the economy on the brink of disaster, and living standards dropping for most Americans, catering to greedy corporations is a loser.
Which ever candidate talks about alternative energy as a national security issue will win.

They were shocked they saw that screen, it seemed to be a disconnection they're weren't used to. That was no simple technical difficulty. Then when Maher asked his crew if Terry was even on audio, the crew was pretty confident that Terry wasn't coming back.

Colin Powell had an interview that was cut short by a pissed off Bush aide, maybe somebody was taking notes.

Terry gave as to the experience Bill Clinton had in 1992, when not being able to site any experience, Terry went on to say "Hillary Clinton has much more experience than Bill"... That's a bit of a shock... So much for the argument of Barack not having experience; And what specifics of Hillary experience has been sited so far....
