If you're liberal/progressive, and are thinking of moving,

please, please, consider moving to SC. Maybe one day us liberals will outnumber the Conservatives/Republicans. We need some people here who don't think "union" is a bad word, and the heck of it is the people who think that are often those who would be helped by a union.

1. Hi Raccoon, Why did I think you lived in Maine?
If SC was not so far from my family...and I wasn't so old, I'd move to SC in a heartbeat. Housing for me would be a lot cheaper, the whole cost of living a lot more reasonable. It will not happen but I know the state is a wonderful place to live.

Any travel plans in your future?

2. Not as far as moving, but I'd like to visit some European countries.

As well as take some more trips within North America. :hi:

No definite plans made at this time.

3. South Carolina
Sorry, my brother and family live there, and it is less expensive, but I would never live there, and I'm from Texas, another one of the more embarrassing states to be from. it's going to take many more generations for the South to get over losing the Civil War. The racial attitudes are so pervasive. I see some hope for North Carolina, however. The Triangle area, (Durham, Raleigh, Chapel Hill) is a great area I've heard a lot positive things about.
