Great Dane Trailers may close Mississippi plant
BY VIRGIL LARSON
WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

Great Dane Trailers may temporarily close a plant in Greenville, Miss., but no layoffs are occurring at the company's plant in Wayne, Neb.

Bob Dyer, human resources manager at the Wayne plant, said Friday that there were no job cuts there. The plant builds refrigerated semi trailers and employs about 400 people.

Great Dane, based in Savannah, Ga., cut jobs at the Greenville plant in September and again last month, the Associated Press reported.

Great Dane has given 60 days' notice, required under federal law, that the Mississippi plant, which employs about 150, may close temporarily if business does not improve.
