MILPITAS (BCN)

More than 30 workers walked off the job Tuesday at two Milpitas facilities of Prudential Overall Supply, said officials with UNITE HERE.

Jason Oringer, a research coordinator for UNITE HERE, said that "30-some" employees of the national uniform service company went on strike after not making headway in improving work conditions.

Since June, UNITE HERE, a national union that represents more than 450,000 workers in the laundry industry, has been working with some Prudential employees to improve conditions as well as unionize.
