: “Welcome to the building trades solidarity rally in Times Square!”

New York Building and Construction Trades President Gary Labarbera . Thousands of building trades workers rallying with former Polish President and labor legend Lech Walesa to protest non-union builders.

: “They exploit workers every day. I can tell you something brothers and sisters. Today we draw a line in the sand. Because I don’t know about you, I’ve had enough!”

Through an interpreter, Lech Walesa urged American workers to rely on solidarity to deal with all the problems confronting us.

: "We used solidarity to dismantle the communist system, to bring it down. Now let us stay in solidarity in order to resolve our problems and challenges."
