Today in labor history Dec 2, 4 US religious women were murdered by soldiers in El Salvador
Edited on Tue Dec-02-08 07:08 PM by Omaha Steve

December 2

A Chicago “slugger,” paid $50 by labor unions for every scab he “discouraged,” described his job in an interview: “Oh, there ain’t nothing to it. I gets my fifty, then I goes out and finds the guy they wanna have slugged, then I gives it to ‘im” - 1911

December 2, 1980 - Four U.S. religious women were murdered by soldiers in El Salvador during the reign of terror by right-wing forces in that country.

2. The El Salvador Martyrs
were brutally raped and murdered, after they were stopped on a rural road by Salvadoran soldiers...

RIP: Dorothy Kazel, Ita Ford, Maura Clark and Jean Donovan.

3. that would be the Nuns that were gang raped by USA trained Death Squads, buried in shallow graves,
so shallow they were found by their toes sticking out of the ground...

"snip...Salvadoran military officials were known to distinguish between “good” nuns, who wore traditional habits, and what they considered “bad” nuns who dressed more casually and were believed to be sympathetic to leftist guerrillas...snip"

the atrocity of the American government's involvement in creating what happened in central America and the South American Cone is best described in Naomi Klein's book: the Shock Doctrine

exactly what is happening today here and in iraq..
