April 21

April 21, 1948 - American naturalist Aldo Leopold died. He said, "When we see the land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect." Considered by many as the father of wildlife management and of the United States' wilderness system, Leopold was a conservationist, forester, philosopher, educator, writer, and outdoor enthusiast.
