Larisa Alexandrovna on the CIA's hyprocisy on firing a whistle-blower
Consider that this career officer may have at one time or another been covert, although not currently. The CIA never publicly fires employees, covert or otherwise, for this very reason. Moreover, everyone I have spoken with says this is the first case they know of where an officer was fired for leaking to the press. So why is Goss so eager to publicly expose this career officer who had recently served in the inspector general's office as well as on the National Security Council?

1. Lala has Porter Goss' assignment nailed
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 05:38 PM by Jack Rabbit

Because Porter Goss had only one job at the CIA and it had nothing to do with fighting the war on terror or protecting national security. He was appointed to clean house of anyone with a conscience, to bury the bodies and silence the witnesses . . . .

Porter Goss is covering up war crimes, silencing witnesses to those crimes, and burying the evidence.

What Mary McCarty expose were the unconscienable acts of the Bush regime.

We, the people, are at war with this regime and are resolved to fight until total victory: impeachment, removal, indictment, conviction and incarceration.

4. This is one of Larisa's best, and that's saying a lot!
I just posted a link to this essay (with excerpt) on another discussion board, not so much for the enlightenment of the Freepers as to let them know we're on to them. They are all in fake outrage mode and screaming about "national security" (the last refuge of a scoundrel), so it gave me great pleasure to end the excerpt with the words "What is national security in this context?"

I also bolded the part where she said: Porter Goss had only one job at the CIA and it had nothing to do with fighting the war on terror or protecting national security. He was appointed to clean house of anyone with a conscience, to bury the bodies and silence the witnesses.

Let the Freepers chew on THAT for a while...and let 'em just try to refute it!!!

9. Quote to the point.
"If I wanted to create an enemy army seething with hate and willing to die in order to destroy, I would do just what this government has done."

That's how you create an endless war.
