i just watched '7 days in may' and am now watching '3 days of the condor'.
hopefully, many other americans are also watching these time-honored cautionary tales.

1973, Robert Redford, it's all about oil, rogue CIA plots on America citizens who found out too much, strands connecting Venezuela, Indonesia, the Middle East....it's all about oil.
Gasoline lines, every other day buying of gasoline depending on your license plate.
Deja vue all over again and the same players - Cheney, Rummie, John Poindextor.....
The antidote to this movie is All the President's Men, again Redford, this time impeacement.
2005 - It began with Bush's man-date and ended with Brokeback Mountain.
2006 - ?
