he's a prof at DU (I myself live in Denver) and you'd think once you got to a certain level...and especially if you worked in higher education...you'd evolve beyond the black and white dittohead thinking.

Hey, but my Dad is a prof too. And he has the same problem. Of course 20 years of military indoctrination probably plays a big role in that.

11. I don't know if I'm the exception or the rule

but I spent 24 years in the Navy and I'm about as liberal as a person can be. My time in the Navy was spent achieving mission and striving for effectiveness. I don't recall too much political indoctrination. That must have happened way above my paygrade.

did two tours of Vietnam. Came home, went through OCS, and retired a Major.

I'm sure it doesn't help that he retired in the mid '80's in Colorado Springs...and has been there ever since. That city is like one big cult.
