anyone else see it.

1. I need help! (Campus debate)
Hello,

I'm sorry I could not start my own topic--I haven't made enough posts on here for them to let me. Tomorrow Night, us College Democrats will be in a debate on campus here at the University of Mississippi against the Republicans and Libertarians (I couldn't find it in my heart to exclude anyone). I need to get some facts straight--I hope someone can provide:

1. I heard before Clinton's speech at the Boston convention that he was introduced as "The administration where more people moved up into the middle class than ever before." Is this true? Where can I find this cited?

2. Does anyone know how many House Democrats voted for the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (It raised interest on student loans)? I can find the Senate record, but the House is a pain in the neck to locate.

3. Same question for the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (A sinister giveaway to big drug companies).

4. How many troops do we still have in Kosovo? Is the casualty level still 0, after all these years?

5. What kind of alternative energy programs did Jimmy Carter have in place that Reagan dismantled? Whatever figures you have on this I would appreciate.

Thanks for the help guys, and as I piece stuff together, I'm sure there will be more!

~J

15. You don't need all that many posts to start a thread.
Just keep "kicking" everything you see for awhile like everyone else does to bloat their post count.

21. Prescription bill background here
http://pharmawatch.blogspot.com/2004_05_01_pharmawatch_archive.html

You might also want to google prescription, bill, DeLay, vote to find the story of arm-twisting they went through to get this pathetic giveaway to the big pharma passed.

3. I thought he was having a temper tantrum.
Rummy will resign within 30 days IMO. He sounded just like this on the Dubai deal. I think he is mad because he can not find someone else to take the job.

33. Rummy/Dummy is co-founder of PNAC & as Illuminati & Reptilian as they
come. He would be most difficult to fire as he is appatantly implementing all of the WH's PNAC goals for world domination through endless war - fear - and intimidation ! ! WORLD SLAVERY TO PNAC = Project for a New American Century (think Rome/Cesar).

expressions. Seeing them all together like that is unnerving. This guy really thinks he's all that and more. That last one freaks me out. :hide:

Not blackmail, but keeping buried bodies buried.
New guy might uncover something. Old guy is complicit, will keep mouth shut as long as he's in office.

13. He sure sounded angry on radio.
Taking it personally in two ways: that someone he personally chose for a position is held responsible for results, and that someone has the gall to second guess his decisionery. Maybe they are the same thing.

23. He WAS angry......
He's being attacked in an almost unprecedented fashion. His approval numbers are at history-making lows, his brass (albeit retired) are openly revolting against his foreign policies, federal scandals are legion and his economic plan is in the crapper. And now he's threatened to use the Bomb. I really don't know how much longer he'll be able to retain enough credibility to remain in office.

We're coming up on the point in this admin. where we threw Nixon out of office in '74. Someone really needs to explain to this man that his retaining the office is not only hurting the office of President, its also injuring the rest of the world and killing this country.

The problem is that its bad for the poor folks fighting illegal wars under Rummy. They pay for bush rumsfeld incompetence.

But if there was ever a Pres that was good for us politically, this is him.
