What's the scoop on James Ridgeway? Village Voice?
I saw five seconds on Democracy Now. IT just frigging hit me that he's the ONE that was doing all the great reporting on 9/11-not being all that we've been told it was.

What's the scoop? Another paper bought out the Village Voice and fired him just 'cause' just cause they can for no cause? Or does this send the message that he was digging up too much dirt?

1. Update

Okay, asked too soon, found it all on their website. "New Times Media" bought them out and gave the directive-NO more national stories-and no bashing Bush-that's what the NY Times is for. Yes, the new editor actually said that. Puke puke puke. New York deserves better!!!!!!!!! The Village Voice always covered everything. This is so disturbing.

2. Some paper out of pheonix AZ bought it and the new ownership is pretty
scrapping the old village voice. Most of the main people at the Village Voice are now gone (Fired or quit). The new paper will be more like a tabloid. Say byby to the Voice.

3. Ridgeway had some scoops - but his research was flawed.
Still, sorry that Voice is muzzled once again - was Murdoch's at one point and attacked Clinton with the best of them...
The only time the Voice was good was during the 2004 presidential race.
Local races too.
