Bush was informed of Cheney's trip to the hospital ``early this morning'' but wasn't awakened, spokesman Scott McClellan said. The phone call took place shortly before 8 a.m., McClellan said.

2. And exactly what sort of catastrophe is required to wake him?
Maybe they want to make it look like it's no big deal - just another bypass or transplant for Cheney.

7. He's an early riser most of the time I think.
Alot of us are. My problem is that I go to bed too late. W. goes to bed at the same time I put my little ones to sleep for school, but they sleep longer than he does.

I think W gets up really early to go get his endorphin high on a bike or something.

16. Like many alcoholics, they pass out early, and wake up early.
I don't know why.. but every alcoholic I've known wakes up at the crack of dawn.

13. Most people are already pulling into the
parking lot at work shortly before 8 a.m. What a lazy shit. The only thing asleep in my house at 8 a.m. is the dog taking his mid-morning nap.

17. Hard to wake a drunk
from an alcoholic stupor. Bush probably passed out early the night before and they knew he couldn't be awakened.

18. This is actually a good thing...
Can you imagine how much more damage Slumpy would cause if his normal
day was 14-16 hours like the rest of us? Too frightening to think about.
