5. you said it..."beautiful" is a good word for him,
inside and out. He truly cares, and his actions speak louder
than his words. The world needs great leaders these days, he could
be one, if given the chance (IMO)

2. You catch that about the minimum wage?
If you give people a raise they can help them selves and when they have more money, they spend more money.
Now that sounds like something that will make the economy go. Not the trickle down bull that the republicans keep trying.

Edwards for President in '08

and punish the poor.

8. The last 2 Democratic Presidents were Southerners...
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 05:26 PM by scout123
and I don't think it was an accident. And they were Washington outsiders, which technically Edwards is also now. I LOVE THIS GUY!

It's true that voters want a candidate who they perceive as someone who "will stop and help them change their tire on the side of the road"...a face they have to watch on tv the next 4 years...etc. Edwards is not a polarizing figure like Hillary. And he's been working his booty off all over the U.S. (not just the 'primary states') speaking out for minimum wage and fighting poverty- http://oneamericacommittee.com/

Heck, I'd even vote for his wife for President after reading this...check this out-- http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/1/26/83027/4666
...someone who has a backbone and speaks their mind...what a concept!

12. Please, please, please.....
It's "democratic president," not "democrat president." The latter is not only grammatically incorrect, but a ploy by republicans (Gingrich memo in the early 1990s).

Randi Rhodes, whom I ADORE, makes this error, and it drives me completely up the wall.

Oh, and WELCOME! :hi:

I had written 'Democratic' first...then edited it...then corrected it again. Elizabeth Edwards said it drives her crazy too.
