Bush and Co. will keep flouting the law until someone stops them...

What will they do next? Sell our nuclear weapons to the Chinese? Who knows? Nobody is willing to stop them. They have gotten away with everything they have tried. Yes, Cheney has the authority to withhold secret energy documents from the people and the press. Yes, they can lie to the people so they invade another sovereign country. Yes, Cheney has the authority to de-classify documents on his own. Yes, if the president does it, it's not against the law. What next? We need to get behind the censure right now. That's the least we should do. When we investigate the SOBs, then we can impeach.

7. Yep, they flout the law...
...while simultaneously flaunting their ignorance. Who knew that could do so much? And at the same time, to boot!

5. And of course that would be those courageous Democrats, right?

I cannot believe the wimps are not raising nine kinds of hell up there right now. Watch them blow this best opportunity so far.

On edit: At least Feingold has tried.

6. Yes, investigating would be nice but there is no one with subpoena
power to crack the ediface of the unitary executive.

The few times the nation gets in an uproar there seems to be a conveniently placed congressional recess or delayed opening that allows a cat falling 8 stories to let concern about Bush set below the horizon.

I'm afraid unless he chokes on a pretzel or does a header off his bicycle he's likely to be in office til January 2009. He will be remembered as the master of mendacity, the most compulsive liar and truthslayer ever to hold the office.
