We need somebody that's both smart AND ENTERTAINING.

Face it, I abhor myself saying this, but one of the main reasons the blivet is so well liked is that he is projected as "the type of guy you'd like to have a beer with". (I know, I know, it's a crock of bull, but that's another post.) I think it would really help if we at least had someone working on the campaign or the like a la James Carville. Hey, he's entertaining as all get out; he can inform you and make you laugh! And let's put it this way; if you were an undecided Joe Average voter and you had to choose between a boring-as-peat-moss candidate and someone whom you've seen on TV that's entertaining, who are you voting for?

7. Not only did you know he was smart, he was always able to

talk to people in a way that was not condescending. When he explained things, he listed the points clearly and concisely and you really understood what he was talking about. There was none of this BS that we hear from Bush about "let me explain this so the American people can understand". Bush seems to assume that everyone is as thick as he is.

We had Al Sharpton. Everyday would have been stand-up comedy day with Al in the White House. Being entertaining isn't enough. What does seem to matter to voters is charisma but nobody knows exactly what charisma is. What I know it isn't is what Bush has.

11. Yep, I hate it too, but you're right. That was a big part of Clinton's

success. The BIG advantagee there was that he was BOTH smart and entertaining.

I'll tell you one guy who seems to have a good bit of both attributes is the Gov. of Montana, Schweitzer. I think the media sees that too. Every interview I've seen him on recently, they've asked him if he is going to run for Pres. Of course he always says NO, why would I leave the most beautiful State on Earth to go to Washington? But I'm still hoping he might change his mind in the next year or so.
