Racial Profiling of McKinney? You bet it is...Just compare Kay Hutchison's
record of physical abuse of her STAFF, and I'm certain that the media attention and outrage was nothing compared to what is now occuring with the honorable Ms. McKinney! I hope that you have all read, or will read the recent DU post on this matter. (See below.) I think that these past incidences on the part of Kay B. should be brought to the attention of all those who would deny that racial profiling or party affiliation has anything to do with the excessive, overkill coverage of Cynthia McKinney! And I think that, as a point of pertinent objective reporting, we should also have them expose all of Kay Bailey's past hairstyles! :sarcasm:

***Kay Bailey Hutchinson physically abused her staffers***

Blast from the past:

In 1993, Hutchison and her team of attorney's - led by Dick DeGuerin, the $700-an-hour hotshot criminal lawyer and defender of Branch Dividian David Koresh - were fighting charges that she had abused her office as state treasurer. The evidence portrayed Hutchison as a termagant who verbally and physically abused her staff, including testimony that while in a tirade, she hit executive assistant Sharon Connally Ammann, the daughter of former governor John Connally, on the shoulder with a notebook binder. Another deputy had been Warren Idsal, the son-in-law of Hutchison's best friend and mentor, legendary ultra-right-wing Texan and Nixon adviser Anne Armstrong. She fired Idsal and later cited his removal as a threat to a frustrated staffer of her tough approach to personnel management. The evidence also showed she ordered a purge of backup computer tapes containing personal and political documents her executive staff produced for her. Conviction for the Nixon-like charges would have ruined her politically. Hutchison claimed the chief prosecutor, Travis County District Attorney Ronnie Earle, was part of a sinister conspiracy against her.

Collectively, the files describe an obsessive, de-manding and paranoid woman who was at times brutal to her staff, berating and pinching aides, and even, in one now-legendary incident, whacking a subordinate on the shoulder with a notebook.

5. Can McKinney demand the video from Capital Police?
I would think she should do so and show it -- nothing in the video could appear as bad as the smear merchants are making it seem...

:grr:

4. And your point is? An arrest warrant SHOULD have been issued on
Kay Bailey Hutchison; Media attention SHOULD have been just as excessive for her as it has been for McKinney.

it was a cop rather than a civilian probably definitely makes it more attractive of a story to the MSM whores. Doesn't make it right, but I don't think that hutchison's incident in any way does or doesn't lend credence to the racial profiling theory.

7. Your points are well taken; perhaps I should have stated it as "racial
profiling" by the media, which it clearly has become. You can't tell me that if Hutchison had been a black democrat there would have been the same amount of news interest and coverage (or I should say cover-up)? This is racial profiling.
