Find out where this is in Baghdad, where the photo was taken from (guessing Hotel due to height),
and see if anyone can find anything in the detail thats "not so nice" (bomb craters, etc.)

1. That picture looks to be taken from a helicopter.

Someone on DU said that the blue building was a police station that has since been blown up, I have no way of knowing if that is really the case.

I don't think those people would have been brave enough to stay at a high rise hotel. In fact, I don't believe that that tour ever left the airport compound.

That picture offers no proof that Kaloogian was ever in Baghdad. You know as well as I do that if he had a real picture, he sure as hell would have put in on his splash page.

2. The photo was taken inside the Green Zone

Not exactly a hotbed of terrorist activity (with a few notable exceptions) which explains the relatively peaceful scene. Try taking a few snapshots outside the protected compound next time, Howie... if you make it back alive to display them.

4. Those free satellite photos

you can get of your address online can be scrolled across a setting, albeit years old. Can these be obtained for global locations and addresses? Is this a stupid question? With a paid subscription I've wondered that patient souls with historical interest haven't looked up addresses where interesting controversies were going down.

That white building (police station) was apparently blown up BEFORE Kaloogian claims the "new" pic was taken :)
