Bush is Trying to Sell Off Missouri National Park Land
Are these people ever going to stop?

We don't want our national park land sold. Once it's gone we won't be able to get it back.

And Missouri does really well with conservation and so we get penalized? We have a lot of money that goes for conservation.

I just don't get this mindset at all. Completely ruin our country and --- then what?

2. And supposedly the profits will go towards schools.
Just not schools in Missouri.

I know some people that live around this area--repubs--and they are REALLY pissed off.

3. Well, one good about this is that our govenor, the Boy Blunder,
Has come out against this move. And several, several other prominent politicians on both sides of the aisle are rallying against it. I'm not sure if this will dissuade Bushco's plan, but perhaps Missouri will buy up the land and convert it into state parkland.

What's really sad is that Bushco's reason for selling this land is to fund education. But the money realized from selling the parkland will not stay in-state, most of it will go to other state education programs.

Email and Fax - Forest Service Public Comment

We are in the final 2 days of Public Comment on the most recent Attack on America from the Bush Administration, the loss of huge portions of our national heritage. At stake is the largest sale of our National Forests since the founding of the NFS 100 years ago. In 41 states, over 300,000 acres are proposed to be put on the auction block, including over 10,000 in Oregon, 7,500 in Mississippi, 20,000 in Missouri, 23,000 in Colorado, 75,000 in California and more.

The Forest Service is taking Public Comment. They request emails or fax.

12. and the Ocala National Forest in Florida.
They're trying to grab all they can for their rich buddies by looting our heritage. As soon as we get rid of these bastards we need to reclaim it all. Take it all back and confiscate any money that changed hands. Teach them a lesson by hitting them right in the bank accounts.
