It's too bad this interview wasn't done with '60 Minutes' - it would have been done by professional journalists, not by a week-day morning entertainment hack with an axe to grind - Lauer is no journalist by any stretch. I can imagine the scramble over at NBC on who was going to get this interview.
I didn't know that Michael had offered to put the money into charity to unplug his wife. That cemented the deal and for the first time ever my mom finally just went silent and then when they went to commercial said she was wrong about the Terri issue back when it was going on.
I think Michael is absolved by the interview, certainly the interview was more on his side than harsh. Sure there was that bit about her not being honored, but in the end it puts him in a positive light.
