They threw a black body bag on the ground and said: ‘This is for your son’
The Sunday Times March 26, 2006

Iraqis killed by US troops ‘on rampage’
Hala Jaber and Tony Allen-Mills, New York

Claims of atrocities by soldiers mount

.............

Last week Jalal Abdul Rahman told this newspaper about the death in January of his 12- year-old son Abdul. It was a Sunday evening and father and son were driving home after buying a new game for the boy’s PlayStation.

They were a few hundred yards from their home in the Karkh neighbourhood of Baghdad when — according to Rahman — US forces opened fire on the car, killing Abdul.

Soldiers approached the car and told Rahman he had failed to stop when ordered to do so. Rahman said he had never heard an order to stop. The soldiers searched the car and, as they departed, they threw a black body bag on the ground.

“They said, ‘This is for your son,’ and they left me there with my dead son,” he added.

Rahman claimed he had had nothing to do with the insurgency until that moment. “But this is America, the so-called guardian of humanity, and killing people for them is like drinking water. I shall go after them until I avenge the blood of my son.”

6. Ah yes...freedom is on the march
That is really disturbing.

I support the troops...with the assumption that they are doing the best they can under the conditions they were sent to an unneeded war and should leave very soon...but this is really disturbing if true.

16. We're really winning their hearts and minds, aren't we.
Does anyone with a recent military career know if our troops are trained at all in the concept of how to treat others so they'll be glad to see Americans in the future? I know a soldier is another word for hired killer, but Jesus Christ you'd think some common sense diplomacy would come in somewhere.

18. This is the new FReeper meme on who is responsible for War ON Iraq.
Not a joke, read this yesterday on AOL messageboard after AOL's insultingly titled article on women running as Democrats "Mommie Democrats":

mommy party omen have much more important things to do, such as be good homeakers and take care of their children and please their husbands, than getting involved in politics.

=There is now way in hell im going to vote for a democratic momy's platform. They are the reason we are in iraq.--

Hey John, may I remind you a REPUPLICAN administration is responsible for this mess.--

The republican party invaded iraq so american women would feel safe and feel like womens rights are being inforced over seas. . Even though iraq had nothing to do with terrorism the perseption is they did women praised the war in the begging but when things went bad of course they started blaming bush. women who are traditionaly democratic voted for bush=

40. NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND 9/11 ?
9/11 could have been carried out by almost any relative or decendant of anyone who had suffered from overseas policy for the last 100 years. Maybe next time around it will actually be Rahman who does it.

It's simply what Ward Churchill referred to as the Justice of Roosting Chickens. In other words - you piss people off then they're going to come get you in the future.

I thought it would most likely be Chileans or Guatamalans. Everything is cause and effect and your video links are short on one of those - cause if you don't understand.

44. This is the third incident in a short time frame
that US Troops have been accused of killing Iraqis for no just cause. If this trend continues it won't be long until the US Troops will be asked to leave Iraq &/or more US Troops will be killed than ever before. Once the population starts seeing the US Troops as their oppressors and killers it will be more Hell than it has been for the past three years.
