Operating the ship of state without a clue
Okay, I admit it, fundies drive me crazy. I despair of them ever making any sense whatsoever. For years they decried anything that got to them somehow as "Satanic" yet, as we all know, those things that could arguably be called "satanic" are routinely ignored, or, even worse, supported whole-heartedly.

Heavy Metal? Satanic. Dungeons and Dragons? Satanic. Killing innocent people in an unnecessary war? Well, that's okay.

Am I mistaken in the fact that they were warned? Weren't they told in the Book of Revelations to be wary of "false prophets" and that their "antichrist" would hijack the dialogue? Not in so many words, I admit. The Book of Revelations is worded as to be nearly impossible to decipher. But I do remember the whole false prophets thing.

I mean, seriously. If the "end times" are truly upon us (I won't get into what I think of THAT whole conversation) who do they assume are the "false prophets" of scripture that would deceive the faithful?

The critical thinking skills of these people are truly a wonder to behold.

I admit it. I'm not a Christian. I turned my back and walked away from the whole thing when I was in my early twenties. It just stopped making any sense to me. And nothing I've experienced since has changed my mind.

I just wish there was a way to reach these folks. To make them stop and say to themselves "what the heck is going on?"

They've fallen for pretty lies and that's all they are. It makes a mockery of their faith, I think, to fall so easily for something so obviously contrary to what they're supposed to believe in.

Go figure. They have enormous political power and absolutely no idea of the mess they're making.

Sad, pathetic, twisted people. Emotionally stunted and morally bankrupt, so convinced of their superiority.
