I didn't know this until now, but apparently there's a proposed pipeline deal between India, Pakistan and Iran:

Referring to the proposed India-Pakistan-Iran gas pipeline project, he said talks were under way and the Petroleum Secretary was in Teheran to pursue the issue. He also referred to the fact that the Government was considering proposals for gas pipelines with Myanmar through Bangladesh and with Turkmenistan, Iran and Afghanistan.

If I had go guess, I would say the outcome of this pipeline just might be a factor in whether we go to war or not. The timing fits anyway...US and Iran have just now agreed to talk right? How convenient.
