The tide is turning, here's how I know
I was interviewed on a local news station on Saturday at an Iraq war protest. Here in the belly of the beast - Houston. The snip they showed of me was my best quote from the interview. They did not for a moment try to spin us as crazies.

But the real proof came today. I was at my part-time job in a heavily Republican area for the first time since Saturday. Several customers said they'd seen me and they were ALL supportive. One told me her dad was career military and he wouldn't let her brothers join the military. Two others whispered to me how awful the war is. NOT ONE CUSTOMER SAID THEY SUPPORT THE WAR. I'm not supposed to talk politics at work, but today was my last day before taking a leave (of my own choosing), so I felt a little more free to talk. I talked about my activism with customers that had had no idea and they were all supportive.

Folks, there is hope. No one likes the way this country is being run. We can and will take it back!

1. They are totally losing it on the talk-show circuit, as well.
Peace.

5. I love it...
... I don't watch the TTC, but I read anecdotes here. It's clear that the noise machine is going into hyperdrive. And just as clear that as it does, fewer and fewer Americans buy the bullshit, and more and more Americans see just how biased and desparate they are.

This administration thought it could spin and lie its way through anything, but they have found the limit of what propaganda can do. At this point, the propagandists are risking all, risking even the last rudiments of trust and honor that they may get from their viewers.

Many apparently are willing to go down with the ship and lose it all. That's fine.

8. In Houston, In public, it's amazing to me how many
of these very Republican women respect me for my views and activism. There are a few who see liberal as a dirty word. Most want to discuss the issues and find common ground.

7. They never were FOR the war. 58% of Americans opposed, way back in
Feb. 03, BEFORE the invasion. That 58% had to include a whole lot of Republicans. I think their votes were stolen, plain and simple. A no-brainer, actually, with two Bushite corporations having gained control of the vote tabulation, using "TRADE SECRET," PROPRIETARY programming code in the new electronic systems (funded by Tom Delay and Bob Ney--the two biggest crooks in Congress), with virtually no audit/recount controls. And the Republican voters whose votes were stolen have been afraid to speak up (lots of social pressure in Bushite strongholds).

9. Hey WHD!
Are we really the belly of the beast? I thought Houston was bluer than other parts of TX.

10. We may be bluer, but we're giving shelter and comfort to the two
that spawned the beast! Plus, people outside of Texas lump the whole state together. They don't get it.
