imus insulted his wife and her inability to do math because she didn't know that their satellite radio stock had dropped in price. he said something about her going to villanova, she should be able to do math. then a little later she jumped on him about something he said and started attacking him for not even graduating from high school and being a problem child, etc. it was embarrassing.

People don'tDon Imus for several reasons

1. His disrespect towards the hiltons at a presidental dinner.

2. He abuses people and then hides behind the 1st amendment reather than take responsibility for his actions and apologize.

3. He insults women, not realizing this makes him lower in other peoples eyes

He's a radio jockey, or whatever they call them. So he's a bit provocative, and most of the people he "abuses" deserve what they get.

How does one "hide" behind the 1st ammendment??? I see him saying what he thinks and not caring what people think. I don't always agree with everything he says, but I respect that sentiment. Generally he can be pretty funny, unless you are particularly sensitive, I think.
