Take everyone you know to see "V for Vendetta"
It's all about Bush and Cheney. There is no question. It even talks about the United States and about the pharmaceutical industry. My family saw it tonight and told me all about it. They are going back to see it with me and others later this week.

3. Fun fact: source material was inspired by the Thatcherites of England.
V for Vendetta was originally a comic book written in the early 1980s, and was inspired by Margret Thatcher and her flock in England. That it has so much relevance today, while staying mainly true to the original material, is a tribute to the Wachowski boys.

5. DVD would cost less
at least it would here in the UK. Cinema tickets here are c. $14 each whereas shipping in the DVD from Amazon.com costs less than 2 tickets. From the reviews, yes, it's going to be compulsive viewing. NB If you're in the UK you'll need a multiregion player if you do order through .com

10. Grafitti.
The V and circle painted as grafitti - is a tag to my understanding. If I'm correct, they are used by gangs to mark territory, I see their use politically in the near future.

13. I see what you mean
Thanks. Yes you could be right. Also - in an odd way the mask itself also reminds me of the bowler hat and made up eye which signified Clockwork Orange and ultra violence 30 odd years ago.
