AGAINST PA LAW: Lynn Swann cannot be Governor of Pennsylvania
Lynn Swann played football for the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to the definition of "duel", football would qualify. Pennsylvania law PROHIBITS anyone from becoming Governor who has participated in a duel.

Definitions:

1. formal fight over matter of honor: a prearranged combat, especially in former times, between two people armed with lethal weapons, usually to settle a disagreement over a matter of honor

2. I guess the bigger question should be...

10. NOTHING! He was on "This Week" with George Steph. Embarrassing.
Swann didn't realize that abortion returns to a state issue if Roe is overturned...George Stephanopolous(?sp) had to explain it to him. RIGHT THERE ON TV!!!

22. A lot of repubs think Rendell is part of the mafia.
I've overheard this several times in the past few months here in Pittsburgh.

WDVE (the big morning show here) has been complaining about Rendell for months over the arena for the Penguins. Not sure why giving taxpayer money to wealthy individuals would be supported here, but the implication is that Swann would do a better jog than Rendell in looking out for the city.

I'm waiting for Rendell to run ads asking PA if they are ready to be compared to California. My guess is that it won't go over well.

4. The power of words.
I am of the opinion that no preub conman is capable of managing any organization whose primary interest is people-automatically precluding them from any position of political power.

6. Ha!!! That IS a crazy law!! By that standard, running for office
makes one ineligible (a struggle or conflict between two people or groups).

Actually, I don't think he should be Governor--and not because he is GOP, but because he is dumb as a post. I saw an interview with him on the tee vee recently, and I was appalled at how his incredibly suave and polished appearance had absolutely no relation to the idiotic phrases emanating from his mouth. Talk about a dichotomy!

8. Definition #2 sounds like a campaign.
So I guess anyone who ever runs for Governor is unqualified to take office. :)

15. I hope this
is not an attempt to criminalize sports. I venture to predict this ironic? suggestion would lead to some small loss in the popular vote columns.
