Or do the rest of you think the world is upside down? I was watching the Senate debate on budget amendments this morning and the Democrat was pounding the fiscal responsibility, PAYGO drum and the Republican was defending tax cuts for capital gains. It's funny - in a bizarro way - when, every once in awhile you get a Republican trying to call an opponent a "tax and spend Democrat." Yep, we tax and we spend, unlike those who cut taxes, run up the national credit card, try to build bridges to nowhere, schlep ice around the countryside and spend, spend, spend. How bona fide Republicans will justify a vote for their so-called representatives this fall is a mystery to me.

when it's damaging to our economy and therefore MORE expensive to maintain for the average person than a tax HIKE, totally amazes me.
