Internet blows CIA cover!!!!!!!!!!!!
WASHINGTON -- She is 52 years old, married, grew up in the Kansas City suburbs and now lives in Virginia, in a new three-bedroom house.

Anyone who can qualify for a subscription to one of the online services that compile public information also can learn that she is a CIA employee who, over the past decade, has been assigned to several American embassies in Europe.

The CIA asked the Tribune not to publish her name because she is a covert operative, and the newspaper agreed. But unbeknown to the CIA, her affiliation and those of hundreds of men and women like her have somehow become a matter of public record, thanks to the Internet.

When the Tribune searched a commercial online data service, the result was a virtual directory of more than 2,600 CIA employees, 50 internal agency telephone numbers and the locations of some two dozen secret CIA facilities around the United States.

goofy. The article is a right-wing attempt to continue spinning the "Valerie Plame was an overt operative."

4. Is Fitzgerald supposed to stop the investigation now?
This story is bizzarre by any standards. The RW'ers couldn't find much solace in this even if they were rooting for poor ole Scooter.

5. all they need is some kind of excuse - regardless of how
unbelievable/assinine - to hang on to and rationalize their boys bad behaviors - and to completely ignore the implications of the "outing" in the first place (blowing up an entire intel network that tracked the industrial flow of WMD components in order to prevent said materials from flowing to rogue states/orgs.)

Ever noticed if you are "discussing" this situation with a right-winger - how quickly they shut up and/or sit there a wee bit stunned - when the line of work Plame was in - and the implications of what the WH was willing to sacrifice in terms of national security in order to win some political calculus?

13. So once you are told the agent's name by Cheney
THEN you can find out stuff about them?

Wow. That's so proves that Plame was never covert.

Not.
