What a foul, rude, old man! Huffing and puffing, fumbling with his cigarette ("If the smoke bothers any of you reporters, tough."), he got a good 10 minutes that was just replayed on C-SPAN. Why him and not Albright or Powell, I can't say.
He's just sure that osama loves to hear any talk about the US withdrawing from Iraq. Which is screwy, considering the continuing loss of American lives depends on us staying there. Isn't *that* what osama loves?
And right after saying something about how politics should play no part in dialogue about the war, he cut loose with this beauty:
"Everyday the American people ought to be reminded that the chairman of the Democratic National Committee has announced that we can't win this war. I think it's an abomination."
Ahem. GWB on August 30, 2004: When asked “Can we win?” the war on terror, Bush said, “I don’t think you can win it."
