Why I Think The Walmart Planet Of The Apes Issue May Have Been Innocent
It took me a lot of researching and investigating, but in the end I think it may have been innocent.

Right from the start I took the html source code from the original page and scoured through it. What I finally found now after extensive site searching and reading the code was that it was categorized into the DVD/Drama/General category and the DVD/Documentary category. Those are the only additional identifiers used in the entire code when searching for similar items, from everything I've seen. They have now grouped it in the DVD box set category, which is why you now have the box set items there.

I think it may have in fact been a major coincidence that the movies selected from the query were what they were. Two were from the general drama category, two were from the documentary category.

I believe those specific category identifiers are the only things that are attached to the query.

Sorry bout the first thread where I had an opposing view.

1. you're probably correct
sometimes things like this happen because of query/code reasons.

I used to work in Amazon's editorial department. I remember once finding a 'marriage manual' for Christian wives the BDSM section - LOL - it was there because of database categorization of a word in the title (if i recall, the word was 'submission'), not because a person put it there. However, I found it very funny and left it there

2. The outrage over this is stupid
Planet of the Apes series was a heavy-handed allegory about the civil rights movement. That it would be grouped in a search with other films of that type is not surprising.

3. It's okay to be wrong so long as you're responsible. And you are
I have to leave now though.

4. The difference between "us" and "them" is we can admit we're wrong
and don't just "stay the course."

Either way, you've done some good research. Congrats!

Now, be sure to post your latest findings on Crooks & Liars.
