Bush* picks bad day for Iraq dog and pony show.
Today Bush* invited some old dems and old rethugs to 'discuss' his Iraq policy. A photo op plain and simple. Pure Rovian bullshit.

Too bad that 5 soldiers and 129 Iraqis were KILLED ON THIS VERY DAY.
Karma, George, karma.

12. It's irresponsible for Dick to say such things
It must be hard on our soldiers' moral to hear such things when they are busy re-capturing a city over and over and over and over...

11. a few things
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 05:58 PM by xray s
she said all the distraction in Iraq is making the US weaker in dealing with all the other crisis points in the world.

she said Bush has to assure the Iraqi government that he is not planning on permanent military bases in Iraq.

She said the meeting was three years too late (she said this to Ed, not Bush)

all in all I think she knew she was being used for Rovian propaganda, but she didn't hold back.

you go girl!

13. They had one friggin hour!
Two thugs gave speeches to them and took questions. Bush gave them a pep talk. Just how much time do you suppose they had for any serious discussion of policy? (After the picture taking session, of course) This per McClellan's fast talking press conf. Damn bullshit artists.

19. we are winning! this just shows that they are desperate
and in their last throes. they had elections and millions of Iraqi fingers turned purple. Besides, you didn't even mention the school some of Halliburton's profiteers built that was destroyed by the evil terrorists who might have been somehwere near there so we had to bomb it. But now Halliburton can build it again, which means more money for Dick Cheney who has no more interest in the oil business so you can't say it's a bad thing.

Why do you hate Murka?
