My visit to hell. Well, actually the hannity.com forum. It's astounding.
Here is a sampling from one thread. This is psycho stuff... Here is the post from the moderator of the forum:

Today about 273 Americans will killed in the United States. Brutally murdered. A slightly larger number of women were raped. Many of those would not have occured if we did not have so many bleeding heart liberals in our judicial system. When are we going to say enough is enough. It is time for liberals to pull out of America. Go. Let this country live in peace.

Ok so thats where we start, from the moderator of Hannity's website. It only gets worse. Here's something from the same thread when they got to talking about rehabilition and redemption:

The Jesus who is going to cast every non-believer into the Lake of Fire is a big believer in Forgiveness? NOT HARDLY. Jesus will never forgive anyone who denies Him. He said as much.

I don't know where people get this lunatic idea that the story in the Bible is one of forgiveness. It's not; it's a story of wrath, retribution, fire and brimstone and destruction.

The people of Sodom and Gomorra saw forgiveness raining as fire from the sky.

The people of Egypt saw forgiveness kill each and every one of their first born sons.

The people of Earth saw forgiveness flood the planet to kill everything save Noah and what he saved on a little tiny ark.

There's no forgiveness in the Bible. That's not what the Holy Book is about at all. It says flat out that everyone save a select few, very few, will be going to the lake of fire and eternal damnation.

If you saw forgiveness in that threat then you read the book with rose-colored glasses on.

God will repay. The Bible says that.

This is what we're dealing with folks. These are the 30% that will ALWAYS support Bush and the neo-cons.

What gets me is that liberals actually bother spending time posting there with those sociopathic freaks... Wow...

Ok that was my official final visit to hannity.com's forums. I used to read it occationally for a few laughs, but that shit is just downright disturbing...

1. Well, thanks for sacrificing yourself and going over there.
Insanity probably reads the post and knows well who his audience is - and it clearly is not the intellectual elite.

3. Crazy
I guess it is entirely possible to read an entire book and miss the point. IF they are CHRISTians, you'd think they would be following CHRIST's philosohy as accurately outlined in the Gospels.

Without a doubt, the Internet brings out all the idiots.

5. These freaks conveniently overlook the New Testament
I'm not a Biblical scholar by any means, but I do recall some of Christ's admonitions, such as encouraging anyone without guilt to cast the first stone, loving your enemies, judging not lest you be judged, forgiving those who trespass against us, blessed are the peacemakers. Somehow I can't visualize the originator of these lessons as being the one who will personally cast all but a select few into a big lake of fire.

And you can see the fear written between the lines.

"God is going to zap us all--we've got to live right or we're all DOOMED-- and these crazy libruls are going to drag us all down into hell."

How do they think we'll drag them down, I wonder? With, say, all of our FACTS! Get behind me, Satan! We don't need no stinkin' facts!

10. Re: Sodom and Gomorrah...
Now that the fundies have welcomed Jews to their fold, under the guise of whatever Judeo-Christian means which I haven't a clue, they may wish to consider a Jewish interpretation of the event...

Classical Jewish texts do not specifically indicate that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because inhabitants were homosexual. Rather, they were destroyed because the inhabitants were generally depraved and uncompromisingly greedy. Rabbinic writings affirm that the primary crimes of the Sodomites were terrible and repeated economic crimes, both against each other and outsiders.

A rabbinic tradition, described in the Mishnah, postulates that the sin of Sodom was related to property: Sodomites believed that "what is mine is mine, and what is yours is yours" (Abot), which is interpreted as a lack of compassion.

And don't forget that Lot refused to give up the angels to the men of Sodom and instead offered them his two daughters for their pleasure. Certainly a poster boy for family values.

I've always wondered about the angel thing. Aren't they supposed to be like all powerful, superman types? Wasn't Satan a fallen angel? Seems to me they were more than able to take care of themselves.

And while I'm on a roll --- the LORD told Abraham, "I have heard that the people of Sodom and Gomorrah are extremely evil, and that everything they do is wicked. I am going down to see whether or not these reports are true. Then I will know."

Excuse me, somebody had to tell the Lord, the big cheese, about S&G, he didn't just know? Thought he'd take a little day trip down to check it out on his own? What a load of crap. No wonder it's called a leap of faith, check your mind at the door before taking the plunge.

And before I forget, fuck Hanninazi, without exaggeration one of the dumbest in all the land.

I wasn't aware of the play/movie, read a few reviews and it sounds great. And, it is carried by Amazon.

I ran into this great site the other day call The Brick Testament. Select Bible stories are portrayed using lego people and sets. Really well done!

11. These people are not respectful towards their god, IMHO...
..they treat him as though he were a big stick, or a bad dog, or a not-too-bright but blindly devoted bigger brother whom they can whip out and sic on people that they don't like and who disagree with them.
:eyes:
Did you know that the concept of hell was invented long after the bible was supposedly written?
And that the best seats in heaven are on what constitutes the 50-yard line of hell...that way you can contemplate the face of god while enjoying the wailing of the damned.
These people have some serious issues...

16. It's a nest of evil ,arrogance and ignorance over there
I did two stints there. One during the runup to the 2004 election-that one ended soon after the election when I got banned for some obscure rule called "obscenity bypass". That means you insert something like
&%$# instead of using an actual cussword. Of course the anatomically challenged fuckstick little NAZI mods only emply the "obscenity bypass" rule to ban people who speak counter to the official board policy of being an echo chamber for Asshat Hannity.

After being booted for about 9-12 months, I had a new IP # and I registered again. This time I just laid real low, posting some bogus "rah rah" ie.George Bush is the greatest man since Jesus, or, all liberals should be put in concentration camps at the North Pole, etc) a couple times a month to get my post count up and have a "member since date" that would be older than a lot of the people I was gonna be conversing with. When The Deadeye Dick fiasco broke I went into full attack mode and with my extensive outdoor and sporting arms safety experience I laid into any and all who defended Deadeye Dick on who said, "Oh, it wasn't Cheney's fault, it's Whittingtons, blah blah.."
I slugged it out mightily, never using foul language or anything, trying to stay inbound on the rules. I drove them nuts and they threw at me what they had to throw which didnt amount to a pinch of shit, the dumb fucks. When I posted there that I thought Michael Reagan's comments about who should be allowed at Nancy Reagan's funeral I wrote something like."When old lady Reagan croaks they should exhume Ronald Reagan at midnight, pop the lid on his coffin, throw her in there with him and then pound a wooden stake through their hearts."
Oh man, did they just sketch out bad for that one. I made it there about 24 more hours until I was advised I was
"Banned Forever: Reason-RETREAD TROLL"
It was my finest hour.

17. They should concentrate on
the New Testament, Christ's teaching deviated from the Old Religion represented in the Old Testament. That's what Christianity is all about. New philosophy by Christ i.e. New testament.

And this is worse:
Those people on tha site might be believers in the renewed theory that there are a chosen few who are predestined on God's list to be brought into his fold. If you are not one of the prechosen you have no chance of avoiding the depths of hell. This is completely against the concepts of Christianity and Christ's teachings, of course.

20. Those are some mighty hateful SOBs
There's no forgiveness in the Bible. That's not what the Holy Book is about at all.

Well, no, there isn't. Not if you read nothing of the New Testament you cafeteria "Christians". :eyes:

Matthew 26
27Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. 29I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father's kingdom."

Luke 3
3He went into all the country around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

Luke 24
46He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 2
38Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 5
30The God of our fathers raised Jesus from the dead—whom you had killed by hanging him on a tree. 31God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might give repentance and forgiveness of sins to Israel.

Acts 10
43All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

Acts 13
38"Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

(A mere sampling I might add)
