Simple solution to RW talk radio...
This is an assignment...and it will work.

OK, hold you nose, listen to right wing radio in your area, note all advertisers and write a letter.

Dear advertiser, I will never go to your store or buy something you sell because of who you sell advertising to.

Guess what - your letters to your Senator or Congressman - are basically ignored. The advertisers of these bastards - priceless.

You take their money away - they will follow the money trail to the progressives.

God Dammit do it - listen, write down the advertisers, and write them. One sentence - no business from me. These stations will collapsed.

4. So it must be legal, because Repubs are never punished...
...for doing it. From money laundering, wiretapping, war justifications, all the way down to vandalism to silence the First Amendment rights, which must be just a suggestion.

16. Boycotts are legal
There is no First Amendment violation without government action. Individual citizens are free to choose where they will shop and from whom they will get products.

No one is telling people what they can say - boycotts are just a way of indicating we won't listen.

33. Did you miss something?
We were talking about driving nails into coax cable to disrupt radio signals. Again, if Repubs do it to Air America, they will NEVER go to jail.

6. How about YOU listen and make us a list?
Write down offensive comments, the name of the offenders, and their advertisers (and email addresses to the appropriate contacts). Then, perhaps, some will write letters, make calls, and complain to store managers, etc.

8. Say what?
This is an assignment.

Listen to Right Wing Radio - you know, your local Rush and, I guess there is some women named Se-ann Hanity, and others, write down the local advertisers, find their address and write to them - no business from me...

Very simple...

11. Yes, and it is YOUR assignment.
I have more important things to do, like survive, but some of us might be willing to write letters if you are willing to do the listening and organising. It is your idea, so you should, at least, start the work.

14. Hey Bud or Budette..It is just one more thing to do..
to attempt to regain our country. It is an individual thing - in your own local radio market - wherever you live.

Don't take this personally - especially if external forces prevent you from doing it. The most important thing for any individual is to survive. When you have spare time.... your efforts will be appreciated.

17. That's why I suggest you initiate the research.
It's a great idea, but many of us have too many irons in the fire as it is. Many do not have time to do the data collection, though have the ability to shoot off well-written letters, or make a quick, professional call.

peace from New Orleans

I just can't do it. I tried with Hannity one time and I became almost physically ill after only a minute of listening. I don't think I would survive an hour.

Someone should make a list or something. I honestly can't stomach rw talk radio.

22. Thanks... so far I have not shopped at those places or bought from them
except AutoZone Inc. When I was fleeing Katrina, I walked barefoot for about a mile to get some much needed anti-freeze at AutoZone. I explained to the AutoZone employees that I needed anti-freeze real bad but would have to fore go dinner if I paid the full price (11 bucks - I was short on cash and couldn't find my credit card). The cashier said he "didn't care"... I will NEVER shop at AutoZone for the rest of my life under ANY circumstance... I'm still too mad to write THAT particular letter.

I don't listen to or read that rw crap and I still know whats going on from Air America, John Stewart, Keith O, and other newscasters. If every liberal who listens to this filth would simply turn it off I bet their ratings would drop so much to the point where station owners wouldn't reup their contracts. Besides Hannity is such hermaphromitic slime that I can not understand who any reasonable person would want to watch him. I mean he exploited a woman on a death bed and interrupted a hospice for chris sake. Now I am not telling anyone what to do or post mind you - I dont have that right. I am just letting you know that these jerks need you more than you need them.

26. On the contrary...
It is my opinion you have to fight fire with fire and inform the advertisers that because you advertise with them - I won't spend my money on their products or services. Then they might ask - well who do you listen to? And I say Air America Radio!

Proactive - not - reactive.

31. How about doing the reverse for AAR?
Contact the advertisers on AAR and tell them what a wonderful thing it is that they support progressive radio and buy their products and use their services. The more people that do that, the more advertisers will flock to AAR and the more stations will air it. AAR is losing affiliates and they need us to support them now more than ever.
