Chester Good and Barney Fife
a bad week for sidekicks. Dennis Weaver and Don Knotts have left us. They brought a lot of joy to my households. Long may they rerun.

1. I met Dennis Weaver
He was a man who walked his talk. He lived in a house built of recycled materials and believed strongly in environmentalism. May his family be comforted in the fact he left this world a better place.

8. He was deeply involved in finding
an alternative form of energy, I hope his work gets carried on.

3. I liked them both, at least as actors.
I don't doubt they were great guys.

4. Let's not forget Darren McGavin....
who played the perpetual cursing Dad in "A Christmas Story". He passed away on Saturday.

A sad weekend for Hollywood...

5. I mostly remember Darren McGavin
as Koltschak (sp), that was a freaky show, but he was very effective in it.

6. Yeah... I never got into Night Stalker...
but I loved him as the Dad in a Christmas story. He sort of reminded me of my own Dad in that movie.

10. I loved Night Stalker...
But I'll always remember him as Ralphie Parker's dad.

14. Kolchak
Has anybody here..
seen my old freind Kolchak
can you tell me where he gone
I thought I saw him chasin' a vampire
up over the hill
With Dennis, Darren and Don

Has anybody here...
Seen my old friend Barney
Can you tell me where he's gone
I thought I saw him nippin' it
in the bud
With Dennis, Darren and Don

Didn't you love the things
that they stood for
Didn't they try
to find some good,
in you and me
and we'll be free
Some day soon, it gonna be one day

Anybody here, seen my old friend Chester
Can you tell me where he's gone
I thought I saw him limpin' up over that hill
With Dennis, Darren and Don
