Right wing coffee house
Yesterday I had the pleasure of chatting with a robot republican. He's all for slaughtering brown people. He justifies this carnage by saying that he makes the connection between killing them and maintaining his lifestyle. He said it out loud and proud and believes that killing muslims = maintainence of his standard of living. I know that he'd be upset if there were no resource war and his lifestyle remained unchanged. I asked him what he thought was the last disgraceful government action. He said Vietnam. And blamed the French. By the way, robotbrain was wearing an O'Reilly cap. I asked him what happened with the lawsuit against O'Reilly and the girl. He said she was lying and probably gave up.

The enemy drinks coffee.

1. Wow. Sort of like when they ignore the Shell/Nigerian butchery of...
...the Ogoni. Because if they acknowleged this fact then pumping cheap fuel into their shitty vehicles would be akin to murder.

All to support our economy and "lifestyle".

Sick bastards...

there was this person who said they won't have anything to do with Muslims because they don't worship the God of Christians even though it's the same being. :eyes: A few people have tried telling this person that but they remain in their little bubble so ignorant.

2. Oh, this was face to face. How did the discussion come about?
Were you waiting in line together? Did you see his hat and asked him about it and that started it? Just wondering because rarely are they so out and about and obvious.

4. Small town
Everyone knows everyone's politics. He always claimed neutrality before. But then started showing up with the Bill O cap. I asked him why he advertises for a Fascist. He asked me if I called him a Fascist. I said "no, I asked you why you advertise for a Fascist, yet claim not to know what happened in the lawsuit. He asked me how I knew about the lawsuit. I said I saw the filed briefs (thanks du).

3. What is it with RWers?
Every time there's a "problem" it's always the fault of the French, the Clintons or sex! :eyes:

and I said that if he used the word "jealosy" I'd get up and leave. That's when he went off on France. I said "are you going to go country by country"?

15. Next time you should ask him
if he likes the Statue of Liberty because if he hates France so much he should give it back. Oh and he should thank them for helping the British to get our independence. They were here too. Good grief.

7. Republican and coffee house used to be incompatible.
Back in the late fifties, when I was in college and too young to go out to saloons, my friends and I used to habituate coffee houses. They were bohemian, very liberal and from where the word "beatnik" was coined. These denizens were the precursers of hippies. They were hotbeds of poetry, folk music, exotic "smokes", passionate political discussions and interracial relationships.

Your Bushbot wouldn't have lasted twenty minutes in one these places. Gosh, this brings back fond memories. Screw Starbucks. We need to bring back the bohemian lifestyle coffee houses. No freepers allowed, ever.

10. at least around here...
the coffee houses are still cool, beat places to hang out. Good music, poetry, smokes, discussion...there's one on nearly every corner in midtown Detroit.

If you're ever in Detroit, stop by the Meetery Eatery on Woodward Avenue Tuesday or Friday night for some open-mic poetry. Some cool cat will even cover your tab, guaranteed. You won't find a freeper for at least 20 miles.
