7. Perhaps I'm just dim, but I can't see how DW Griffith's Ku Klux Klan film
'The Birth of A Nation' ties in with what's happening in Iraq.

Could you elaborate on this?

11. I see the descendants of the Klan as constituting a significant part

of the Republican base. It is ludicrous for that base to claim that their motives include building a democracy in Iraq (these are people who have historically been, and continue to be, antidemocratic). Secondly they represent America's terrorist past.
Thirdly I see the Klan as America's first fascist party and the current Republican party as its' second.
Finally I see Fox broadcasting as the DW Griffiths of our time - romanticizing and promoting what we should be ashamed of.

I regret that my picture choices don't include more text for backround. I type poorly and often take shortcuts. (PS Two edits so far :)

4. Everywhere on the web the words "civil war" are being
used.

I'm not sure how much longer Bush can dodge this bullet.

5. The Iraqi government had no alternative but to impose a curfew and
I actually don't think the situation is even in the slightest amusing. Hundreds of people are dead because of the Mosque bombing and if the Iraqi government hadn't of imposed a curfew and shut the streets of Baghdad, it's likely that hundreds more people would be dead today.

6. Well ah ah haa ah ...
What do you mean were on the brink of civil war ..Looks like baghdad is very peeacfull to me.

Love Idiot in chief!

And besides as we here in Merica know you cannot truly have a fully functioning democracy unless you have a civil war. We had a civil war and look at us. We are the greatest Democracy on the face of the earth. So it was not unexpected that there would be a civil war in fact that is why we went into Iraq in the first place was to start a civil war so they could have a democracy..Get it?

10. The Baghdad streets are closed because of the Mosque bombing
Did you see the carnage and mayhem when the Mosque was bombed? The Sh'ia's and the Sunni's going apeshit killing one another?
