"The more people learn about the transaction that has been scrutinized and approved by my government," Bush said, "the more they'll be comforted that our ports will be secure."

This guy is now saying it "his" government. Now, if it were anyone else..this wouldn't bother me so much. But would be dictator Bush? God help us.

1. Bush's government versus the one set forth in the constitution.
That requires 3 equal branches of government that are not in bed with one another to provide required checks and balances for peoples greed for absolute power.

3. Actually, his usage is correct as it refers to the Executive branch.
He (they want us to believe, lol) put a team together and it is correct usage for him to refer to that as "his" government.

Here in the States, one of our biggest problems is that we don't distinguish between the institution and the current residents.

This is indeed "Bush's government", his misadministration. Framing it this way makes it all the more easy to hold them responsible for their incompetence.

4. His government versus the other two branches.
If the other branches could actually show more independent thought.

5. Isn't the distinction, his administration vs other administrations?
But, ya know, given that his cabal believes the other two branches should just wither up and die, I understand the problem.

Congress is in hock to their campaign money. The Supreme Court is a cartoon of itself.

Poor America. We'll have to love her very hard to keep her in one piece.

7. It may be his administration, but it is not his government.
The government is of the people, by the people and for the people. It includes all three branches, the civil service, and all the attendant bureaucracy.

Of course, he might have meant to say 'my administration', but he didn't, which shows that he is either a dictator or an idiot. (Of course, those aren't necessarily mutually exclusive).

8. I'll bet it was deliberate
The SOB thinks everything is HIS, including the government. Asshat that he is, he would probably be completely bewildered if someone pointed out that the government IS of, by, and for the people.

10. He is using terms that are common in other countries
like the UK who use the parlimentary system. The upside is, his "government" is more easily held responsible.

The down side is this poor idiot frontman has no grasp of the English language, let alone the niceties that distinguish our system from other systems.

I hope he goes on vacation again very soon because we are never safer than when This Felon is confined to the pig farm.
