Media CASUALLY reporting CIVIL WAR in Iraq...
As if they are reporting a car accident on the highway during a traffic report.

"Civil war has broken out in Iraq and in more SHOCKING news, American and Canadian hockey teams lost at the olympics..."

15. Absolutely!
Oh, and before someone decides to get 'politically correct', so to speak... yes, I do realize Reid is Minority Senate Leader and Murtha is a member of the House. I just wanted to highlight that Reid has an opportunity on this one if he works with Pelosi. <PUSH!!!>

1. IF they are reporting it... NBC Today Show buried the story
... it came way after the earthshttering news that 2 feuding Olympic speedskaters shook hands!

2. Are they at all concerned that our troops are in the middle of it?
Or that all us "crazy" anti-war-of-choice protesters were saying this would be the result well before the war started?

4. Remember Basra and the Brits dressed up as Arabs firing on Iraqis?
Edited on Thu Feb-23-06 12:36 PM by Dover
They are purposely creating civil unrest because we need an excuse to stay in that region. Bushco is no friend of democracy abroad or here at home. Does not compute.

6. CNN International is doing a good job reporting it now
They ought to just give up on CNN domestic, except for Cafferty it's pretty much worthless.

7. I was just about to post...what you say. It's almost like it's "ho..hum."
As if it was EXPECTED.... I guess the damage control from one of their many Think Tanks and PR firms is in full mode. The Meme will be "We always expected that there would be "dead enders" who just would not accept the peace we Americans offered them."

Where is Bush's Peace and Democracy in the Middle East? And, now we have UAE's in charge of terminals in 6 US Ports? We are supposed to believe anything the Bushies say no matter how many lies they tell.

Things are so Bizarre these days...I almost have to catch myself to keep from getting swept up in their constant lying because resisting seems to be "futile."

9. Civil war wasn't part of the plan. They don't know how to spin it
and nobody wants to actually go there to report it, so best to just play it down.

11. It's probably just a few "focus groups" who think it's a civil war.
It's probably just a few "focus groups" who think it's a civil war.

12. CNNI spent quite a while on all of the violence
emphasizing the CIVIL WAR and the breakdown in communications in the so called government. Pretty good coverage for a change.
