Did anyone catch Hannity and KKKRove going at it today?
Maybe the world is coming to an end - I actually found myself on Hannity's side when he was debating Karl Rove today on his radio program. Rove was spitting out the CYA spin over the port deal, and Hannity didn't seem to be buying much of it. Of course, Hannity was his usual self, going through his little programmed canned responses - I swear the man is a robot and someone just pushes a button to make him talk. I kept pinching myself, and thinking "how fucking wierd is this, that I actually agree with Hannity on something".

7. It was Rove

He had Mehlman on (along with JD Hayworth) also, but that was an earlier segment. I can see where you would get confused, they were both trying to defend the port decision. I only caught the very tail end of the Rove segment, but it seemed like Hannity and Rove were in total disagreement on the issue.

2. Rush is the only RW shill to go along with the Pres. on this...
I suppose he figures it'll keep him in baby Brother Jeb's good graces with his legal troubles and all.

3. It's All Seeming A Little Too Scripted For Me
I heard Hannity briefly driving home, and thought, if he's against it, it must be a trick!

I just don't see Hannity as having a sincere thought in his mind. He is a bootlicking Rovian mouthpiece whose radio show coincidentally started 2 days prior to 9/11.

Oh, and I don't really believe much in coincidences either.

9. These are definitely some interesting times
How bad does Bush have to fuck up so that even Hannity can't defend him?

14. See post #7
Different segments. Mehlman was debating JD Hayworth (Mehlman for the deal, Hayworth against it). He had Karl Rove on a little bit later.

18. Hannity has no choice
Edited on Wed Feb-22-06 09:13 PM by Azathoth
There's no question he wants to continue fellating Dubya, but this port deal stinks so bad even the nutjob rightwingers are up in arms about it. If Hannity intends to maintain any semblance of credibility with the insane faction of the conservative movement (ie the only people in America who listen to his show), he has no choice but to oppose this fiasco.

20. I heard the first part of the show & thought to myself...
"How friggin' refreshing!" After years of an incessant dearth of predictable rhetoric, we're now hearing Republican leaders and talking heads put this president in his place.

I'm actually feeling something I've felt very little of in recent years -- hope.
