USA - the sum of the parts is worth more than the whole
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 05:10 AM by Phoebe Loosinhouse
Deregulation.Concentration.Connection.Corruption.Censor.Dismantle.Outsource.Sell Off.Privatize.Exploit. Gouge public.

Apply that process to: natural resources, utilities, media, national security, health care, defense, banking.

The biggest lie that has been successfully sold is "Government is bad". Although the government may be bad, it is made up of and ultimately accountable to the people. The corporate entities and political insiders who make up the New American Oligarchy are answerable to no one but themselves and they exist only to enrich themselves.

When they do the autopsy of American Democracy - the cancer started out small but then spread over time and became systemic. It can be traced back to our elected officials who allowed their votes to be purchased for campaign contributions or steak dinners or golf trips, or for lucrative jobs for their wives and offspring.

3. Thanks. Maybe the ports issue is the one that will wake people up to
the whole "profiteering" angle. Lou Dobbs is supposed to discuss "interesting " relationships tonight.

4. Freeper cognitive dissonance
I heard it all day today as I was driving. Rush and Sean both "Why, why, I just can't explain it . . ."

The ports issue is the summation of what I was posting about. It OBVIOUSLY is not for the good or the well-being of our country - but I bet if we look closely, it WILL be for the good and well-being of a few.
