Swoon! Inspired by Olympics, Bush tries "Winter Sports"
WASHINGTON - President Bush tried his own version of winter sports this weekend — two bike rides in subfreezing temperatures — after watching some of the Winter Olympics on Air Force One on Friday.

"We were watching some curling — cheering the U.S. on," White House spokesman Trent Duffy said, recalling the match the U.S. team won by 7-3 over Switzerland. flight. "We had it on for 20 to 30 minutes. The president is a great sports fan."

On Saturday, Bush pedaled about 90 minutes at a Secret Service training facility in Beltsville, Md.

The president‘s wife, Laura, doesn‘t bike with the president, but she has followed the Olympic competition after leading the U.S. delegation to the winter games. She is especially interested in competition by men‘s speedskater Chad Hedrick, a Texan who won a gold medal in the 5,000-meter event.

2. That picture was an instant classic.
Never have both of their characters have been so accurately portrayed.

I love the photo journalists who dare print pictures of the emperor and empress without their clothes.

10. Oh, you're in my home town
I grew up in Etobicoke. Yeah, we're freezin' here, too, but we got let off easy this year.
I've counted 5 major thaws since Xmas.

11. Same here.
It's been crazy - spring-like weather one day, below-zero the next.

Sorry to break the news about the former great area known as 'Etobicoke'. Being as desperate as they are for cash, BushCO crossed the border in the dead of night, grabbed the entire neighbourhood, dragged it into upstate NY, and sold it this morning on eBay for $3.56 (US funds).

Sorry ...

12. I know, I've been there several times lately
My old hometown is almost unrecognizable, hookers and druggies are on the streets where I played as a kid, and it's an odd mix of expensive condos and boarded-up stores once owned by people I knew.

Depressing.
