3. There is something humourous about the delay for DeLay
The House members who will not meet until the end of the month, but may be implicted by Abramoff, are all cut off from each other except by phone/email. If Congress was meeting as they should, they could get some of that famous 'strategery' going in-person.

The BugMan scr*wed them yet again. Bummer.

4. Don't Forget.............
You said........."are all cut off from each other except by phone/email."

That's cut, too. They must not forget that someone's listening and reading over their shoulder.

20. Dang! This is too weird.
and along this line of "listening/reading" -- I was trying to open an email on AOL and got a message that they were "down for maintenance or improvements." I've never run across THAT during the day, before. Maybe they were scanning emails for keywords. ;)

I'll say one thing about this administration. There is never a dull moment and it's going to be a major adjustment when the Dems finally take office and, hopefully, get back to legitimate governance.

8. The word you're actually looking for is...
..."Whoa." "Woah" is pronounced sort of like Keanu Reeves' "whoa."

11. Actually,
the Keanu Reeves woah is probably more appropriate in this case anyway.

14. You know what's pissing me off? Congress is in recess till 1/31
Think how much bigger this would be if they were all in Washington - they wouldn't be hiding behind "Unavailable for comment - on vacation"

Let's put them on a permanent vacation

16. Do You Think Maybe They Were Tipped Off About Abramoff And....
the delay for DeLay is a cover so that they are not around D.C. for comment? Do you think that with the DOJ doing the investigating on this one that it might be being used to coerce votes for *Co? For example: Well Mr. Congressman or Mr. Senator - if you don't vote for the Patriot Act - maybe your name will come up in relation to Abramoff. If you vote for the Patriot Act - you can probably count on not being implicated. Huh?

18. Does anyone else here believe that nowhere near 60 lawmakers face justice?
Perhaps it's just me, but it seems to me that by Abramoff offering a plea deal to sing, like it has been cirrculated, that he only 'has' to tell "his" version of the story, omitting myriad details that outline the entire scandal.

And in the far, far distance, as the * administration begins to leave the white house, and Abramoff is a distance memory in the collective minds of the sheep, he is pardoned, and all is "forgiven and forgot"

sure, there will be the 'ceremonial' prosecutions, but my gut is telling me that from example, that no where near the amount of lawmakers will go down that we are hoping for.

not to sound like a pessimist, my hope and faith is just a little wary as of late.

we'll see!

19. I'm thinking more like drop the 0 and make it just 6.
That's the number I'm guessing as sacrificial offerings going up in smoke for the neocon agenda.
