1. I know you meant to say "Cheney SHOT someone"
not Killed.

Bush also did a huge insider trade on his Harken stock and didn't get investigated. He should have done a lot more time than Martha Stewart--who wasn't even an insider on her deal.

2. Actually, to my knowledge...
Bush *was* investigated by the SEC for his insider trading of Harken stock, but the investigation was called off. Bush likes to say he was exonerated, but in fact the final report on the investigation clearly stated that it should not be taken as exoneration.

6. Technically, yes, they opened an investigation.
But it was a joke. They assigned their newest recruit to do the job. She didn't gather evidence. She didn't even interview Bush. She talked for a few minutes with his lawyer and that was it. It was a sham investigation.

3. A Texas friend tells me that Laura RAN DOWN her ex-boyfriend
I know we've all heard that it was an "accident." But this friend from Texas (who knows the community) says that Laura didn't "accidentally" kill the boyfriend. they had just broken up, and she RAN HIM DOWN in her car.

Anyone else heard this?

7. You've got the basics correct.
The "accident" occurred on a road familiar to Pickles. At the intersection, there were no obstructions to block her view. Her ex boyfriend drove a Corvair which would be immediately recognizable to her. She slammed into the side of his car at the intersection.

She wasn't even given a traffic ticket.
