Bush demoted generals in Pentagon succession order.
Why is President Meathead making Rumsfeld more important than military leadership at Pentagon? What is he trying to pull?

1. God forbid that a Flag or General officer, promoted by the Monkey
and given the advise/consent approval of the Senate, be permitted to exercise authority on even a temporary basis!!! Far better to place these decisions of the highest order during times of crisis in the hands of a college drinking buddy, you see!!!!!

2. Simple. Complete civilian control of the Armed Forces.
And by civil, I mean political.

3. he wants yes-men in line under Rummy
having Brass that high in the line might be a problem, since they often have loyalty to something other than money, that's my guess

4. Am I the only one who thinks that Bush could be
setting himself up for a coup led by Generals who feel that Bush has too much power over them?

5. Pentagon succession shake-up only dealt with civilians
Secretaries of Army, Navy, and Air Force are civilian positions by law. Nevertheless, the shake-up was prime example of cronyism and possibly a stealth was to appoint a PNACer to SOD without Senate confirmation.
