Meth Epidemic on Frontline
Gawd I hate to watch the pics of the users because I've seen it in person. It's hideous what it does to people and it's mre addictive than cocaine. Yet the Bush "Drug Czar" insists that marijuana usage is our most serious drug problem. What color is the sky in their world?

1. this is involuntary genocide for the Bush administration, it gets rid of
poor people, it gets rid of disposable US citizens, it helps numb citizens to the reality around them, it helps thin out the population if they die. It saves the rich in America alot of money and trouble in the long run. That's why they don't give a crap about it.

3. Yeah but how does that explain their paranoia about weed??
You are right though. Why worry about it when it's mainly relegated to poor people? I gave up a long time ago trying to figure out federal drug policy.

a whole lot of money.

of course, that's "good" speed, that can never be addictive or liver-damaging. Praise the pharmaceutical companies, and woe be unto any investigative program that dare compare or contrast street meth with good old fashioned corporate meth.

4. I was absolutely horrified when I saw the wrecked faces.
Marijuana is like jelly beans compared to meth.

5. Oh but haven't you heard about the "new" killer pot?
They're spending millions on very subjective studies to prove their idea that marijuana use is the most dangerous drug while just now admitting that meth might just be a problem. The national association of sheriffs has for a long time stated that meth, not heroin, not marijuana, not ecstasy, meth is their number one worry.

9. On top of the damage to the users,
the production of meth uses lots of nasty chemicals that are highly toxic. Places where it has been cooked up have to be cleaned out by HazMat crews, which is expensive to local law enforcement (and citizens).

Then there is the damage to children of those who make and use meth. Most wind up in foster care because their parents are too fried (and jailed) to care for them.
