Dr. Bernardine Healy on HARDBALL: "This is NOT trivial."
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 07:13 PM by Bluebear
These things can migrate, this is a serious condition and it is trying to be portrayed like nothing bad happened. This is an unusual kind of penetrating cardiac trauma. This is not the kind of heart attack that the general public is familiar with, this is cardiac trauma and it is SERIOUS.

21. Just so you know....
Dr. Bernadine Heally is a right leaning republican...

She ran for the Senate and lost and served in the first Bush Administration...

Having said that, she walked away from her party simply because it had left her behind...

She is just being a doctor... Plain and simple....

She was a hell of an administrator and laid a lot of groundwork for what is now the world class Cleveland Clinic....

She is also one of the reasons Art Modell moved the Brown's from Cleveland...

BH was supported by Modell and the party supported Dewine...

He felt that Voinovich stabbed him in the back and that was one of the main reason's Modell left town....

instead of saying that the pellet is causing this damage"

Well, thank you Mr. Matthews. Thank you for that truthful observation.

7. Gotta give Tweety credit on that one.
I really think Tweets doesn't like Cheney.

17. unlike W, Cheney makes Tweety go all flacid and limp
If this were W having a hunting accident, you can bet Tweets would be right there in the fight, protecting his throbbing hard-on.

10. Call It The "Shock Factor"
I really haven't heard this discussed, but surely this man had to have experienced trauma and shock...typical of any shooting victim. His advanced age works against him as the body isn't able to handle the shocks to the system it could have at 28 or 48 or even 68. Looking at this man's picture he didn't look like he was the "athletic" type and these men were driving around...not quite getting a workout here. Who knows what this man's pre-existing conditions were and be assured his medical history is now a matter of "national security".

4. So a bullet (bird shot) in your heart is a bad thing?
So much of this does not pass the smell test.

5. She was awesome, she really was.
I tuned in to see her and she didn't disappoint. Now I have to turn it off. Tweety is too annoying, even when he actually gets it right for once.

6. Meanwhile, for Evil Dick Cheney, it's...
...plenty single malt Scotch, thick juicy steaks, and so many Halliburton checks that his accountant's probably had to take on an assistant to log them all in.

I don't believe for a MINUTE that this evil, corrupt bastard has an OUNCE of concern over Whittington's health or well-being.

14. Neither do I. Not one ounce of concern. Certainly the Dick didn't hang
too long before he headed back to D.C.

8. Yes, if you listed to all the Drs who've been on the news,
they all say THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS situation!

Although Dr.Healy was the most forceful about it. I'm glad. It IS a very serious thing, and I think a lot of people, including me, had the impression that it was just bird shot at a relatively long distance, so the victim will be OK, but Cheney is going to get his BIG TIME!

Well, I hope the later part of my statement is still true, but I admit, I didn't ever expect it to get this serious for Mr. Whittington!

I sure hope he recovers!

11. Too Much Compassion Here....
I think that's why we get our asses kicked constantly. You hope he recovers? Why? Because you're compassionate?

He doesn't give a shit about you. He's rich repub lawyer scumbag, a bush pioneer, and I guarantee he would not hope for any well being on anybody you remotely care about.

Why should you hope he lives? I don't care much at all. I didn't shoot him, nor did I vote for the Bastard who did. Let him get what he deserves. I won't shed a tear.

15. Because voting for Shrub/Cheney didn't get him shot!
IF his problem was that he lost all his money because of some Shrub new finance policy, I'd agree with you! But that's not what happened.

Sure, we're talking about a bunch of rich guys hunting together, but one was stupid and irresponsible! I'm not going to blame the victim because one of his friends is stupid!

16. Because we are different
That is why we are liberals.

He may be all that you say he is, but I feel differently than you do.

Just because he decided to lead his life differently than me, doesn't make him any different from me.

I only wish him a full recovery and the time for him to reflect.
