5. Isn't it weird?
Torture, rendition, secret prisons, spying on Americans in violation of the Constitution -- But THIS is what sets the media off?

26. More people have expertise with hunting...
than torture. It's just a more down to earth story and the media think they can talk about it safely. The delay in reporting and the fact that the guy spent two days in IC make the whole thing fishy.
Did you hear the Ohio "Democrat" who was "praying for our President and Vice President"? You really have to wonder.
Thank you to whomever for my heart (I didn't want to start another thread about it).

Hinting that the press wants Mr. Whittington to die so it will be a bigger story.

on t.v. when they see each other and the freepers have no problem with that.

17. Seriously! They have screwed this up, big time.
Now it doesn't even matter that the police report says no alcohol, everyone is assuming that the delay was to let Cheney sober up.

21. Exactly,
If this happened on our property, there would be no way that you would be able to send out your spokesperson that you will talk when you are good and ready.

They would want to speak to you and all who were there. They would want to see if there was any alcohol involved. They would want to know the relationship between the two. They would be speaking and taking statements from all who witnessed the event.

Just goes to show there are different laws for who you are.

15. Is it common to hunt and drink?
Because that's what people are definitely thinking was the cause of the delay. What a screw up. They should have come on out with the story and it wouldn't have been so bad.

24. Yes, but....
Edited on Tue Feb-14-06 08:12 AM by JHB
...for all the hunters I know, the drinking comes after they get in from the field, secure their gear, ensure everything's been unloaded, and they've gone wherever they're going to park their butts for the next few hours. (and depending on the time of day, it may be more likely that the drink is coffee rather than beer)

There is, however, what they refer to as "the drunken idiots"...
