Whittington was Cheney's TARGET. Connect the dots...
Cheney knows Abrahamoff... Abrahamoff has used Whittington as a personal lawyer in the past... Delay and Whittington have a close personal relationship... Delay, Cheney, Abrahamoff and Whittington are old drinking buddies... I mean, just think about it.

I think Whittington knows where some "bodies are buried", so to speak. I think Whittington was a target and that Cheney MEANT to kill him. Cheney screwed up. He missed. The reason we didn't hear about it INSTANTLY is because it took hours and hours to make sure, through brainwashing and drug-induced hypnosis, that Whittington and all eye-witnesses told exactly the same story.

If Cheney had succeeded, I don't think we'd have ever heard anything but that a prominent Texas lawyer had gone missing. It's obvious...

Cheney needs to be questioned under very bright lights about this. Can't someone make a citizen's arrest?

6. hey, it's always lawyer huntin season in Texas.
If Whittington were a Democrat, Cheney would've got a medal. And you speak as if this were the first time Cheney shot Whittington. He was only surprised that it happened before happy hour and not after, like usual.

7. The thing is
why would Cheney do his own wetwork unless it was intended as a message?

The message being we can be as flagrant as we want and no one will lift a finger to stop us or help you.

Its sorta like if/when Tony Soprano takes care of someone himself

8. My Dh has hunted for pheasant ...
he even had one stuffed-LOL! (and I sold it at a garage sale, but that's another story...!)

And dh and I both agree that the "official story" doesn't pass the smell test.

Dh says that when you bird hunt, you hunt in a long row beside the people you are hunting with-so you are aware of them at all times.

As for me, I didn't trust or believe these guys before, why should I start now?

10. I could almost agree EXCEPT
would Cheney do his own dirty work?? It seems like their usual MO is plane crashes and that kind of thing that way they keep their own hands clean and publicity to a minimum.

15. That's pretty fucking stupid
Even in your bizarre world where such a thing does happen, why would he organize to do it in so public a manner? I mean really. You're behaving like an imbecile.

17. My first thought was that Whittington was gunning for Cheney, not the
other way around. All that business about Whittington dropping out of sight of the hunting group, then coming up behind Cheney (or in front of him? --unclear), and Cheney tries to blow him away first. Lots of possible motives. Maybe Whittington was acting for other Republicans--Cheney won't yield to Repub plan to replace him as V-P?; maybe for ratshit that Cheney knows about Whittington, Delay & Co. and is using to keep these guys' mouths shut. Who knows? I'm just saying--that was my first feeling about it. These people are so-o-o-o-o-o-o dirty, who knows what could happen among them? I think there has already been a whole lot of blackmail and extortion, if not much worse.

18. You've obviously seen the Manchurian Candidate too many times
What I can't figure out is why Cheney is actually taking the heat HIMSELF, rather than them saying some faceless underling did it?

If they wanted to knock somebody off, old geezer wouldn't do it HIMSELF. He sent somebody else to die in Vietnam for him, don't you think he'd get somebody else to do his jail time, too?

No way.
